How do you know that you have an asymmetrical face? If you look in the mirror and the left and right side of your face doesn’t look identical, your face isn’t perfectly symmetrical. As with most things in life, few things are. When it starts being very noticeable to the extent that it affects your self-confidence, we can help you with the minor but noticeable change. A slightly drooping eyelid or mouth corner may have been caused by a stroke or medical condition, and you wish to restore the balance and harmony in your face and see your old self in the mirror once again.
There is a non-invasive solution to restore balance to your face and harmony to your soul in the form of Botulin injections. Botox works by temporarily blocking certain nerves sending messages to facial muscles to pull in the wrong direction or to help a tense muscle relax – thus restoring the natural aesthetics to your face.
Botox treatment can help address facial asymmetry by selectively relaxing specific muscles on one side of the face. Here's how it works:
The first way we can restore balance to your face is through brow asymmetry. If an accident, natural aging, or condition left you with a look that makes it seem like you are always confused with one eyebrow appearing to be raised, we can reset the alignment of the brows by injecting Botox to slow down the muscle contractions cause the brow to lift, thereby restoring the natural alignment of the brows. If the asymmetry is said to be less than 4mm, Botox can work over that, and a brow lift may be necessary. Coming for Botox in your early 30s can prevent you from going under the knife by keeping your muscles intact and preventing them from being out of line in the first place.
With age, the muscle tone, fat deposits and sagging skin around the eyes can cause an unbalanced look on the face, with one eyelid being saggy or lower than the other. Botox injection can restore harmony to your eyes. Our trained professionals know the facial structure and anatomy and will inject the Botulin into the right spots to ensure that the correct muscles relax to give you the look that you want or fix that drooping eyelid.
The tricky part with lip asymmetry and why Botox is very effective in helping here is that your lips may seem aligned in a resting position. As we tend to have a more active one side of the face, the other can easily seem lop-sided when you smile or make other expressions. We will ask you to make a variety of facial expressions so we can spot the asymmetry and target the correct muscles to restore the look you wish to have when at rest, smiling or frowning, for instance.
The benefit of Botox is that the treatment will create subtle but noticeable results, you will experience minor symptoms, and you will see lasting results of four to six months - a schedule that is easy to maintain for the benefit of a symmetrical look. You will also be able to see the difference immediately and even more so once redness and swelling have subsided. Depending on the look you want, we can also recommend a combination of Botox and fillers to give you the symmetrical, plump look you want. We will discuss your concerns and give you all the information you need before your first session, and you can be prepared for the possible side effects and then, ultimately, just enjoy your new, balanced look.
