How It Works
Erbium 1540 utilizes fractional laser technology to deliver specialized pulses of energy into your skin, targeting unwanted wrinkles, stretch marks, or scars without causing harm or ablating the surrounding skin. Pulses of fractional laser light into the skin catalyses the production of collagen and elastin, which fortifies and firms the skin’s elasticity and texture. While patients can see improved results after their first treatment, multiple treatments are recommended to obtain and maintain optimal results.

following: “What can I expect with this treatment?”: “During your initial consultation, our nurses will best determine the correct intensity and pulse wavelengths to address your skin’s concerns. A medical-grade numbing cream will be massaged into the skin prior to the treatment in order to help reduce any discomfort during treatment. You might experience sensitivity during the treatment; it feels like “rubber band snaps” on the skin. Ice packs will be applied to the treatment area post-treatment in order to help soothe and reduce redness. Your treatment areas will be red and feel tender to the touch, akin to the sensation of a sunburn. Aloe vera gel and cold compresses are suggested to help soothe the skin.
On average, our nurses recommend at least a series of 4 to 6 treatments every 4 weeks to address your skin concerns and maintain treatment results. Avoiding excess sun exposure is critical, and we recommend an SPF 40 or higher on a daily basis to protect the skin.
